Setting a new benchmark for luxury in Tropical North Queensland, the Daintree Pavilion is one-of-a-kind with dramatic skillion ceilings held aloft by glass walls. Designed for privacy, two separate sleeping areas each offer an ensuite bathroom opening to an outdoor atrium with bath under the treetops. Flowing from the shared central lounge extensive decks feature multiple open-air lounging options, with a fireplace, tiered infinity pool and plunge spa floating among the cool of the forest.

Dining at Silky Oaks Lodge celebrates the bounty of local ingredients harvested in Tropical North Queensland’s rich food bowl, from seafood, nuts, chocolate, coffee and tropical fruits. These are combined with local native ingredients and the nation’s finest premium produce to offer guests an innovative, contemporary Australian menu. The Treehouse Restaurant welcomes lunch bookings from non-resident guests.
Cuisine at Silky Oaks Lodge is designed to be refreshing and light, ideal fare in tropical temperatures. Contemporary Australian in style, menus have an Asian influence and incorporate traditional Indigenous flavours. Breakfast includes à la carte menu options, while lunch is available daily in the restaurant. Guests can enjoy sunset drinks at the bar followed by an à la carte dinner showcasing fresh, local produce.
Beverages at Silky Oaks include a range of premium Australian wines with a selection from south-west Queensland’s Granite Belt, a swagger of locally crafted beers as well as the state’s iconic XXXX beer for true local flavour. Baillies 9 gin with premium mixers is on offer at Silky Oaks as at the sister lodges. A menu of locally produced small batch spirits includes the delicious Mount Uncle Distillery’s Botanic Australis gin.

Peak Season Deposit Policy
All bookings over the Christmas / New Year period of 22 December 2022 till 3 January 2023 inclusive, must be secured with a non-refundable deposit of one night’s accommodation within 14 days of reservation.
Private vehicle transfers between Silky Oaks Lodge and Cairns Airport or nearby Port Douglas may be arranged with a preferred operator. Scenic helicopter flights from Cairns Airport to Silky Oaks’ helipad offer an aerial perspective of the region and are a spectacular start of end to a stay in the Daintree. Additional costs apply for all private road and air transfers. Bookings are best made in advance; please enquire for rates and information.
Important to know
As the lodge thrives on a convivial atmosphere, in-suite dining isn’t offered.
As the lodge is situated in a remote destination, it’s essential to advise any special dietary needs at the time of reservation. Silky Oaks will do their best to tailor menus accordingly whilst providing opportunity to enjoy a diverse range of premium regional produce. Should notice not be provided in advance, our chefs will endeavour to prepare suitable meals with the ingredients available. We regret they are unable to prepare meals requiring strict religious observance in the preparation.
Accommodation at Silky Oaks Lodge includes the dedicated wheelchair/mobility-accessible Garden Retreat suite which is generously sized to allow ample space to move around the room. It’s located close to the main lodge and features level ramp access to reach the central guest areas.
During a stay at Silky Oaks Lodge, guests may join a daily guided walk around the lodge grounds and wheelchair access can be arranged with advance notice. A series of self-guided walking trails is also available, however, as bush paths the terrain is uneven, undulating and steeply inclined in some places. There are no built-in handrails. Private experiences can be arranged at an additional cost, subject to availability and accessibility.
