Day 1
Arrive into Ayers Rock airport and transfer to your accommodation at Sails in the Desert. This evening embark on an unforgettable experience with the Sounds of Silence Dinner, starting with a hotel pickup and transfer to the dinner venue. Enjoy canapes and drinks while admiring the stunning sunset over Uluru and Kata Tjuta. Take part in a didgeridoo performance and a guided walk to learn about the night sky, before savoring a gourmet buffet dinner featuring native Australian ingredients. Relax and stargaze with an astronomer’s guidance before concluding the night with hotel drop-off.
Day 2
This morning you will join your tour to enjoy a magical sunrise at Uluru with a light breakfast, tea & coffee. In the morning light your guide will lead you to visit Mutitjulu waterhole. After which you’ll learn how to ride a Segway and tour Uluru’s 12km base.
In the afternoon you will be picked up for a short transfer to the remote Field of Light desert location with majestic views of Uluru.
You’re welcomed at an exclusive dune top just after the sun has set on the horizon. Savour a selection of outback canapes with sparkling wine or beer as your host provides insight into the light installation that awaits you. As darkness falls, 50,000 glass spheres gently come to life. Covered under a sky brilliant with stars, Field of Light beckons you to explore and lose yourself momentarily in the rhythms of coloured light.
Day 3
This afternoon you will travel to Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park to a place where unique flora and fauna thrive, Kata Tjuta (The Olgas). Here your guide will reveal the many attributes of this diverse environment and describe the cultural significance of Kata Tjuta as a sacred Aboriginal men’s ceremonial site. Arriving at Walpa Gorge you will walk between the mighty conglomerate domes and hear how these 36 domes that make up Kata Tjuta have evolved over millions of years. Take time to listen to the wind (Walpa) far above and view the scale of the rock walls that surround you. The spirituality of this amazing location embraces everyone who ventures here.
Day 4
Start your day early and travel through the vast desert plains on your way to Kings Canyon, admiring the breathtaking scenery along the way. Stop at Kings Creek Station for a cooked breakfast that will fuel you up for the day ahead. Then, join your guide for a 6 km walk to the rim of Kings Canyon. Learn about the region’s history, geology, flora and fauna as you make your way up. Visit the Garden of Eden, a permanent water source in Watarrka National Park that offers stunning views (time permitting).
Alternatively, take a leisurely Creek Bed Walk with your driver guide to enjoy the sheer cliff face at the canyon’s far end. For an optional, once-in-a-lifetime experience, take a scenic helicopter flight over the Canyon (at your own expense).
Have lunch (at your own expense) at Kings Canyon Resort and take a refreshing swim at the resort’s pool before returning to Uluru.
Day 5
This day is at leisure until it’s time to transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
