OUR RECOMMENDATION FOR THE FINEST THE HUNTER VALLEY HAS TO OFFER

Wine Tasting:

Briar Ridge
Briar Ridge Vineyard is a 5-star winery nestled in the picturesque Mount View region of the Hunter Valley. They’ve been producing some of the most respected wines in the Hunter Valley off vineyard plantings since the 70s.
Take a step out of your vehicle, and you’re instantly greeted by their tranquil gardens, mountain scenery, and a relaxing atmosphere.
There’s a lot of wines to try here.  Some classic styles and their alternative counterparts and you can pick from their range of unique tasting experiences; the traditional cellar door tasting bar, on the tasting deck, or in their popular wine garden.

The Hanging Tree
The Cellar Door Hanging Tree Wines offers one of the most welcoming cellar doors in the Hunter Valley - housed within an old cow-shed and complete with a heritage Blacksmith's Cottage, Horse-whispering lodge, duck pond and French parterre-designed rose bed. The Hanging Tree stands tall at the property entrance - the site where beasts (and rumoured bushrangers) were hung. The grapes are handpicked and handcrafted to produce various red, white, sparkling, sweet and fortified wines, all in our easy-drinking, fruit-driven style. Apart from the award-winning wines, the property also produces olives and tapenades from their own olive grove on-site.

Carillion
Carillion Wines at Tallavera Grove is a 5 star Award-winning cellar door with a view to match. With 180 degree panoramic views across the valley of vineyards below, this cellar door has one of the best views in the Hunter Valley.
Tallavera Grove has been awarded the 5 Star Winery rating in the 2018 James Halliday Australian Wine Companion for the fifth year in a row.
With a range of varieties to taste, including Chardonnay, Semillon, Verdelho, Merlot, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon, this is guaranteed to be your Hunter Valley highlight.
Right next door is the renowned Bistro Molines. This restaurant has a very European feel to it with Robert Molines creating sophisticated yet rustic French Provincial dishes for his always evolving menu. Robert has long been on the list of highly awarded restaurants earning a Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide Chefs Hat in 2010, 2011 and 2012.

Lunch:

Muse Kitchen
Muse Kitchen is the sister venue to the two-hatted Muse Restaurant and a plush place to avoid the silly tourists over a languid lunch. Inspired by the bustling street bistros of Paris, Muse Kitchen is taking classic European dishes and bringing them to the quaint country town of Lorn.
With honest cooking, a warm atmosphere and a professional team, it won’t take long for you to be swept away by the charm of Muse Kitchen that keeps you coming back day after day.

Bistro Molins
Bistro Molines, which overlooks a terraced hillside of rose-lined vines belonging to Tallavera Grove Vineyard. Robert Molines is a French transplant, having moved here in 1973. Over the years, he has earnt the bistro a critical mass of recognition and the rustic-chic restaurant remains as charming as ever. Working alongside Molines is head chef Garreth Robbs whose cooking style helped the restaurant retain a hat in the 2018 and 2019 Good Food Guide
